Subject to consultation, the university may decide to send you out on secondment. The request may come from your employer (e.g. in order for you to collaborate on research at another university), or you might propose your own secondment (e.g. to increase your own mobility).
The university must find appropriate duties for you during the dismissal protection period (CAO Article 9.11) and during the notice period (CAO Article 8.4) until the end of your contract. You may be seconded during this period, but only if you agree to it. Agreements regarding secondment must be recorded in writing. Your dismissal protection period will be extended by the duration of any secondment work during this period. The maximum length of any such extension is 12 months.
